Speaking where the bible speaks, and silent where the bible is silent.

The opposite of the truth is a lie. Jesus came bearing witness of the truth, and Satan came bearing witness of lies. Jesus was called the truth, and the Devil was called the father of liars.  Jn 14:6f; Jn 8:44

David said “In my dismay all men are liars.” Ps 116:11 The scriptures reveal to us that no liar shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Rev 21:8 Now, under those conditions, no one would ever be saved. So, what constitutes the kind of liar that has no chance to enter into God’s rest?

Those Who Keep Not God’s Commandments

The apostle John wrote, “He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” 1 John 2:4-5 Jesus made it clear that only those who love Him keep his commandments. Jn 14:15f; 1 Jn 5:3

Jesus commanded his apostles to go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing them in them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Mt 28:19-20 In Mark’s gospel Jesus commanded to preach this same gospel. Jesus said, “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, and he that believes not shall be condemned.” Mk 16:15,16 Therefore all who obey not the gospel of Christ is a liar, and shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 2 Thess 1:7-9

Those Who Add To God’s Word

Solomon wrote, “Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” Prov 30:6 As Job said, “Now if it is not so, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?” Job 24:25  Moses wrote, “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” Deut 4:2

Paul stated, “That in us ye might learn not (to go) beyond the things which are written;” 1 Cor 4:6 Throughout the scripture it’s been verified that God can’t and won’t lie. Nu 23:19ff; 1 Sam 15:29; Tit 1:2; Heb 6:18 All those who alter God’s Word are attempting to make God into a liar, for the Word proceeded from God. 2 Tim 3:16 John warned that those who add to God’s Word would have the plagues contained therein added unto them, and all those who take from God’s Word would have their name removed from the book of life.” Rev 22:18,19 Therefore, all who add to God’s Word is a liar, and shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Those Who Deny Jesus Is The Christ

The apostle John said, “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:22-23 And again he said,  “He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.” 1 John 5:10-11

Jesus said that the foolish builds upon the sand and not upon the Rock, that being Jesus Christ. Mt 7:24-27 To those who shall perish, the preaching of the cross, the gospel, is foolishness. 1 Cor 1:18 The foolish obeyed not the truth of God though they witness Christ being crucified.. Gal 3:1-3 Therefore, those who are foolish and deny Jesus is the Christ are liars, and shall not enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

Those Who Subvert The Truth

“For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.” Titus 1:10-15

These are the ones who Micah warned that the leaders would judge for reward, the priest would teach for hire, and the prophets would divine for money, and then justify themselves. Mi 3:11 Paul warned of such to Timothy that some would strive about words and foolish questions in order to make monetary gain of the brethren. 1 Tim 6:3-10 John warned that we should try everyone because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 Jn 4:1 Those who teach the doctrines of men worship God in vain, lead many from the truth of God. Mt 15:7-9f; Tit 1:14 John wrote that no lie is of the truth. 1 Jn 2:21James wrote that we are not to lie against the truth. Jam 3:14 Therefore all who subvert the truth of God are liars, and shall not enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

Those Who Love Not Fellow Brethren

“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.” 1 John 4:20-21 Anyone who has this world’s possessions, and assist not a Christian in need has not the love of God in them. 1 Jn 3:17

When Christians fail to show compassion to fellow Christians they are refusing compassion to Jesus himself. Mt 25:40 As Jesus said to Saul on the road to Damascus, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me, it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.” Acts 26:14 Saul wasn’t persecuting Christ directly, but he was persecuting the church daily. 1 Cor 15:9f; Gal 1:13 Therefore all those who hate their fellow brethren and say they love God are a liar, and shall not enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

Conclusion: The scriptures made it perfectly clear that God is not going to put up with liars in heaven. God cast out the father of all liars, the devil, and will not allow anyone who lies against the truth to enter into His heavenly abode. We are not to place our trust in lying words, and neither does God. Jer 7:4 As Ananias and Sapphira had lied concerning the sell of a piece of land promised to the church, Peter said, “You have not lied to men, but to God.” Acts 5:4.  Yes, all have lied, but let us not once be accused of lying against the truth of God. Jam 3:14

Jesus said he was the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father but by Him. Jn 14:6 The truth was revealed in the gospel of Christ by which we are saved and justified if we continue in it.  Eph 1:13ff; 1 Cor 15:1-4; Jn 17:17; Jn 8:31 As John said, “No lie if of the truth.” and the truth shall set us free. 1 Jn 2:21f; Jn 8:32 Let us therefore cast off the lies of hypocrisy and the works of darkness, and let us put on the the armor of light. 1 Tim 4:1,2; Rom 13:12
