It’s Time To Let God Speak & For Us To Remain Silent

It's Time To Let God Speak

What if we could speak in the silence of God, and add to, and subtract from God’s Word? Just imagine: We could have the finest cuisines to feast upon before, during, after worship. 1 Cor 11:22,34 We could use great speakers to do our praying for us, as we listened to each eloquent word in praise to God. Mt 6:5-7; 1 Tim 2:8 We could hire choirs to do our singing, knowing they will hit each note perfectly in tune. We could have instrumental music from the best instrumentalist we could afford, to accompany the choir. Eph 5:19; Col 3:16  We could hire preachers who speak softly, beautifully, and with words that lift us up, and never reprove, rebuke, or exhort us. 2 Tim 4:2-5; Isa 30:10  We could pay man made institutions do the work of the church. Eph 4:11,12  We could have women preachers, song leaders, who can lead prayer, and serve the communion. 1 Cor 14:33-40; 1 Tim 2:11,12 We could have women elders, and deacons to govern the church. 1 Tim 3:2; Tit 1:6  We could meet 7 days a week, and take in contributions each time the door opened. 1 Cor 16:1,2 I have just named a few things that come to mind, but I am sure with this new found freedom to do as we please, each of us will come up with a list of our own. 2 Tim 4:3 Imagine the crowds we could bring in, only if we could change God’s Word, instead of God’s Word changing us. 2 Tim 3:16,17; Mal 3:6; Heb 13:8 What is really sad is this: some are already doing these things, and some more extravagantly than I have illustrated. What is even more sad is this: God prohibits Christians to speak in His silence, and they can only speak His very words, no more, and no less. Deut 4:2; Deut 12:32; Deut 28:14; Josh 1:7; Prov 4:27; Eccl 3:14; Prov 30:6; Acts 4:19,20; 1 Cor 4:6; 1 Pet 4:11; Rev 22:18,19 It’s Time To Let God Speak & For Us To Remain Silent. Zech 2:13; Rom 3:4 God doesn’t desire our opinions, or our vain imaginations, but he does demand our obedience, and faithfulness to his Word. Jn 14:15; Jn 15:13,14; 1 Jn 5:3; Jn 8:31,32; Rev 2:10
