Get Closer to God

We can’t walk with God, unless we walk according to His Word. No man has ever seen or heard God at any time and lived. Yet we see, and hear Him through the Holy Spirit, who revealed what he heard of God to the fathers, the prophets and the apostles. This direct link to God was written in the Holy Word, which is revealed to us when we read, search and study the scriptures. We have God’s promise and oath that every word in the bible emanated directly from Him, and contains no lies. If we want God closer to us, get closer to God by learning, and obeying His Holy Word.

A Risk Worth Taking

To laugh, is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep, is to risk appearing weak.
To reach out for friendship, is to risk rejection.
To expose feelings, is to risk revealing who we truly are.
To dare to dream, is to risk appearing immature.
To love, is to risk having your heart broken.
To live, is to risk dying.
To hope, is to risk despair.
To try, is to risk failure.
But the greatest hazard in life is, to risk nothing.
The one who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.

Jesus asked us to risk, Believing in Him. Jn 8:24
Jesus asked us to risk, Confessing this before mankind. Rom 10:10
Jesus asked us to risk, Repentance. Acts 17:30
Jesus asked us to risk, being Baptized. Acts 22:16
Jesus asked us to risk, living Faithful  till death. Rev 2:10
The risk is that we will appear to be childish, ignorant, and foolish to the world. 1 Cor 1:18
And a greater risk of, losing our soul in hell. 2 Thess 1:7-9
However, if we are right, and we are, we gain life eternal. Mt 25:46
Jesus took the risk, of sacrificing His life that we would follow Him Jn 15:13,14
Now is the time we prove His risk, was worth His sacrifice. 2 Cor 6:2
Now is the time to, Walk by Faith. 2 Cor 5:7; Titus 1:2; Lk 6:23
