God’s Word Is For All

How often it is taught that what was written for the early churches was for them only, and not for anyone else. This they say in order to make the Word of God of none effect, that they might not be subject to it. Yet Paul, the chief writer of the new testament stated it clearly that what he wrote to one church was written to them all. This he confirmed by the Holy Spirit, and by God the Father that he lied not, and that he received all by the revelation of Jesus Christ. The same word that condemned them, condemns us. The same Word that saved them, saves us. The same word that judges them, judges us. God’s Word is for all who will obey it or reject it, no matter who wrote it, when it was written, or who it was written to. God’s Word is for all.
