Satan changed but one word when he deceived Eve. God commanded Adam and Eve, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Gen 2:16-17). Satan said to Eve, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ “Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die” (Gen 3:1-4). It was the addition of the word “NOT” that change the truth of God into a lie.
Baptist doctrine on baptism says, baptism doesn’t save or have anything to do with the saving of a soul. God’s Word says, baptism saves and without it one is condemned (Mk 16:16).
Baptists say, Baptism Does Also NOT Save US.
The Bible says, “Baptism Doth Also NOW Save Us” (1 Pet. 3:21).
The difference between the word of God and the word of men is just one letter. Merely change the “w” to a “t” and you have altered the meaning, but you cannot truly change the word of the Lord. Regardless of Baptist teaching which says, “Baptism doesn’t save,” the Bible says, “baptism doth also now save us” (1 Pet. 3:21).
False doctrine doesn’t come with major changes in the bible. No! It comes with subtle changes so as to go undetected, small additions or subtractions to make it appear to come from God. Remember, we are not saved by the assumptions or opinions of man. We are saved by God’s Word__unaltered.
