Speaking where the bible speaks, and silent where the bible is silent.

Biblical Proof Dec 20 2015

If God had intended the church to worship with instrumental music, the New Testament would have contained it (Eph 5:19 f; Col 3:16).  If God had intended the church to be ruled by a committee of unqualified men, the New Testament would have contained it (1 Tim 3:1-13). If God had intended the church to have women preachers and teachers, the New Testament would have contained it (2 Tim 2:2 ff; 1 Cor 14:33-40; 1 Tim 2:11-15). If God had intended the church to meet on any other day, the New Testament would have contained it (Acts 20:7). If God had intended the church to accept tithes, the New Testament would have contained it (1 Cor 1:1-3 f; 2 Cor 9:6,7). If God had intended the church to be assisted by universities to teach the Word of God, the New Testament would have contained it (Eph 3:10 f; 2 Pet 1:3). If God had intended the church to be assisted by man made institutions in aiding the needy saints, the New Testament would have contained it (Gal 6:10 f; 1 Cor 1:1-3). If God had intended the church to have any other gospel or doctrine, the New Testament would have contained it (Gal 1:6-9 f; 2 Jn 9).

The New Testament made it abundantly clear that the saints of God are not to go beyond that which was written (1 Cor 4:6). The saints of God are restricted to speak only the very Words of God (1 Pet 4:11). The saints of God are prohibited from adding to or taking from God’s Word (Rev 22:18,19). If anyone makes changes to the gospel or doctrine of Christ they shall be accursed (Gal 1:6-9 f; 2 Jn 9). “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ (2 Cor 2:17). The Prophets of old were guided by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet 1:21). The apostles of the new testament we guided by the Holy Spirit (Jn 14:26 f; Jn 16:13). Jesus Christ himself only spake what God revealed him to speak (Jn 12:49,50). And if we are among the saved, we too will be guided by the same Word which was given by the Holy Spirit. Nothing more and nothing less!
