Speaking where the bible speaks, and silent where the bible is silent.

Biblical Proof Dec 20 2015

The soul of man is the spirit within the man which God gave unto him (1 Cor 2:11). Without the soul, the body dies. The soul of man after he dies returns back to God who gave it (Eccl 12:7). Then it is judged by Christ according to the gospel of Christ (Jn 12:48 f; Rom 2:16). The soul that has obeyed the gospel and remained faithful to the doctrine of Christ and his apostles is saved (Mk 16:16 f; 2 Jn 9). The soul which knows not God and has not obeyed the gospel of Christ is cast into the lake of fire (2 Thess 1:7-9).

I know you many have been taught that salvation is a complicated thing which requires a PhD to interpret, but this is not true. Even the highly uneducated and simple minded can understand the gospel of Christ (Mt 11:25,26). The gospel simply states that Jesus Christ, the Son of God died for your sins, was buried and was raised to life again according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15:1-4). If you believe this and confess such before men; and repent and are baptized for the remission of sins, you are added to the Lord’s church (Rom 10:8-10 ff; Acts 2:38; Acts 2:47). This is the same church which Christ built, died and paid for with his own blood (Mt 16:18 f; Acts 20:28). This church bears His name, for He is the head of the church and the Savior of the body, the church (Eph 1:22,23 ff; Col 1:18; Eph 5:23). Examples of the Church’s name are: The churches of Christ (Rom 16:16); The church of God (2 Cor 1:1); The church of the FirstBorn (Heb 12:23). Each of these are in reference to Jesus Christ. The church is the foundation of the truth and teaches the manifold wisdom of God (1 Tim 3:15 f; Eph 3:10). Therefore, the church which Christ built not only bears His name, but also teaches His doctrine (Jn 7:16,17 ff; Acts 2:42; 2 Jn 9). Remaining faithful unto death means that you worship God in Spirit and in truth (Jn 4:23,24). It means continuing in the apostolic doctrine, aka, the doctrine of Christ (Acts 2:42 f; 2 Jn 9). It means enduring trials and persecutions for the cause of Christ (Jam 1:12 ff; 2 Tim 3:12; 1 Pet 4:16).

Life is very short and could end abruptly at any moment (1 Thess 5:2). So, I ask you, are you gambling with your soul? Why stand in jeopardy every hour (1 Cor 15:30)? Get right and stay right with God (Amo 4:12)! Do it today (2 Cor 6:2), for your soul’s sake!
