It’s hard to imagine that two can be the majority over the entire world combined, but it is true. It is true when one is a faithful servant of the Most High. It was true for David over Goliath. It was true for Moses over Egypt. It was true for Elijah over the 450 false prophets of Jezebel. It was true for Christ over death itself, and it’s true for any Christian today who stands alone with the truth.
Christians are nothing more than soldiers for Christ (2 Tim 2:3-4). As such, Christians put on the whole armor of God in order to stand against the trickery of the Devil (1 Tim 6:11-18). Christians are fighting the good fight of faith and their only weapon is the Word of God, which is described as a two-edged sword (1 Tim 6:12 f; Heb 4:12). When preachers proclaim the Word, the gospel of our salvation, it is the power of God which propels the lost to salvation (Rom 1:16).
The truth does not come with many, but with a few. It was a few that were saved by the ark. It was a few that were delivered from Sodom, and it shall be a few that shall be saved come the Day of Judgment (Mt 7:14). Therefore, when you stand alone preaching the Word of truth and no person comes to your aid, remember this, you are not alone. God promised to never leave us or forsake us (Heb 13:5). God plus one is always the majority!
