Despite the fact that most people are law abiding citizens of the world and are basically good people, most will end up in hell after they die. Why is this a fact? It is because these same people will not obey God. Let the bible explain why.
They Know Not God
Here is a simple fact, most don’t even know God. Muslims don’t know God. Hindus don’t know God. Buddhist don’t know God. Jews don’t know Christ. Thus, if they don’t know God, then God will not know them come the day of judgment (Mt 7:23). This is why Paul said all who know not God will end up in hell (2 Thess 1:8,9)
They Obey Not The Gospel
Let’s face it, the denominational world have never obeyed the gospel of Christ. Catholics reject belief, confession, and repentance as a prerequisite to baptism. This is why they have no problem baptizing babies, not that they actually baptize (immerse) anyone. They sprinkle them with water and call it baptism. Thus all Catholics are doomed for hell! Baptists require belief in order to be saved, but they reject the notion that baptism saves. This despite that Jesus commanded belief and baptism in order to be saved (Mk 16:15,16). This despite the fact that the apostle Peter said baptism saves (1 Pet 3:21). Thus all Baptists are doomed for hell! The Seventh Day Adventist teach the gospel, but then they require one to acknowledge that Ellen White is a prophetess of God in order to be baptized. The fact is, no denomination teaches the gospel of Christ which was taught on the day of Pentecost without adding or taking from it. Thus, they are all doomed for hell!
They Keep Not The Doctrine Of Christ
At this point, let us tally up who are in hell. If we add the two thirds who know not God; If we add the denominational world who say they know Christ but in works they deny him; then we have more than 99.9% of the population of the world in hell. Now that’s a sobering thought. This only leaves a small remnant who even have a chance for heaven. Who are they?
These are the ones who have obeyed the full unadulterated gospel of Christ. This is the same gospel preached to every Christian convert in the new testament. These all heard the gospel (Rom 10:17). These all believed and confessed Jesus to be the Christ (Rom 10:9,10). These all repented and were baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38 f; Rom 6:3,4).
Yet, even these can end up in hell. How is this possible? It is possible if they continue not in the apostolic doctrine (Acts 2:42). Make no mistake about it, this is the not doctrine of men but of Christ (2 Jn 9). Thus, if a Christian alters the gospel, they are accursed (Gal 1:6-9). If they add to or take from God’s Word, they will have their name removed from the book of Life (Rev 22:18,19). If they fall prey to adultery, fornication, homosexuality or for that matter any work of the flesh, they shall end up in hell (Gal 5:19-21).
Let’s face it, nearly everyone will die and go to hell. God only wants the best in heaven and to be the best one must obey the full gospel of Christ and continue in the doctrine of Christ. If one does this, and if they endure the trials, persecutions, and temptations, then and only then shall they receive a crown of life (Jam 1:12).
It’s not luck that gives the world all of their blessings. No! If one does not know God or if they obey not the gospel of Christ or if they continue not in the doctrine of God, then they will receive the consolation of the world (Lk 6:24). Paul said he knew that he was still in the faith if he was still being persecuted for the cause of Christ (Gal 5:11).
To the few who are faithful Christians, hold firm to your crown and let no one take it from you, for heaven is just one breath away (Rev 3:11). Fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life, and fight to win your crown (1 Tim 6:12 f; 1 Cor 9:24-27). God’s people are the fewest, but they God’s called, chosen, and faithful (Rev 17:14). “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them (Rev 14:13). “He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight” (Ps 72:14). “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Ps 116:15).
To the 99.9% who are doomed for hell because they reject the gospel of Christ, eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow hell awaits you. Then, you will weep and howl for the miseries that have suddenly come upon you (Jam 5:1-5)! Yet, if you will repent and turn to God by your full obedience to His gospel, then you too can be saved! God’s hand is stretched out still if you will not harden your heart (Heb 3:7,8). Heaven or hell is your choice (Josh 24:15). Obey God and live, or reject God and die. I urgently and fervently ask of you, choose life!
