Speaking where the bible speaks, and silent where the bible is silent.

Legalized Sin

Biblical Proof

In the United States of America, it is not uncommon for them to legalize sin. For instance, there was a time when it was illegal for a man and a woman to live together outside the bonds of marriage. Little by little America became so decadent that they found it impossible to enforce such a prohibition, and thus made it legal to cohabitate outside of marriage.

There was a time when adultery was illegal in America. Just like fornication, it was unenforceable and thus made legal. Abortion has been a hot issue since it was made legal in 1969 by the Supreme Court (Roe vs Wade). Some still claim it should be made illegal, but few will tell you that it is enforceable in such a decadent society. There was a time when alcohol was made illegal, but after just one year it was made legal because law officials determined it to be unenforceable. Today illegal drugs are illegal in most states, but in certain states drugs like marijuana are being made legal.

Homosexuality was illegal and stigmatized in America for many years, but little by little it became acceptable for many to come out of the closet. Nowadays, we see open gays and lesbians on newscasts, in schools, on the movie screen, and the music we listen hear. Then came the time when they wanted to be married just like their straight counterparts. The supreme court now has legalized gay marriage in all 50 states.

Should we be amazed at legalized sin? The church in which we attend has been participating in these legalized sins for many years now. Adultery has devoured the churches of Christ and the denominational world. What has caused all this decadence? It didn’t happen all at once, but a little at a time. These things will happen when a nation, families, and churches turn from the commandments of God and turn to the traditions of men. Whenever we take God’s authority and his moral laws out of our families, our schools, our government and our churches, we will get legalized sin. No, they are not legal in God’s eyes, but in man’s eyes. Just like Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near about, this nation too will fall. Do we really think all this strange weather we are having is by accident? The Lord has his way in the whirlwind and the storms and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Nah 1:3 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap! Gal 6:7 God is asking America and especially his church to repent. Just like Sodom and Gomorrah, it’s time to either turn or burn!

Praise God for knowing that others are standing firm on the Word of God and speaking out against sin!!! You are saying what other believers and I have so passionately said. Everything that the Bible says in is sin, will always be sin. Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand (last) for ever.” We must not be shaken, moves or pressured by the false teachings of society. So, our Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage as they did other sins as you wrote; but same-sex marriage just as the other sins you mentioned is still a sin. We as true believers must hold firm to our profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and stand up and declare the truth of God’s Word. I agree that American will fall as did Sodom and Gomorrah for their abominable sins. Man says it’s legal, but God’s Word says it’s sin. Psalms 14:12 says, “12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

We must always remember what Palms 119:89 says, “Your word is forever, LORD; it is firmly established in heaven.” Man changes, but God’s Word will never change because it is fixed in heaven. The Bible says that those things are sin, so they are SIN. God’s people must stand together and pray as never before that America will turn whole-heartedly to the God of our Salvation. God bless you and continue to preach God’s holy Word.
