Speaking where the bible speaks, and silent where the bible is silent.

Biblical Proof

The apostle Peter warns that some will seek to turn us from the truths of the Scriptures by perverting the teaching of Scripture. “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction” (2 Pet 3:15,16). He warns us false teachers will arise within the church itself. They may not claim to reveal new truth from God on the level of Scripture, but they will seek to distort the Scriptures, twisting them to teach something vastly different from the intended meaning of the Bible.

Twisters of the scripture often try to circumvent the commandments of God by twisting the meaning of biblical examples or vague meanings of ancient Greek words. Those who twist Scripture will twist any or all of the Bible, but they will often base their teachings on an obscure or problematic text. Peter acknowledges that some of Paul’s writings are “difficult to understand” (vs 16). These seem to be the starting point for the truth twisters. They begin with a problematic passage, developing their unorthodox doctrines, and then turn to the clear, emphatic texts, denying what they dogmatically teach.

Baptists do this when it comes to the commandment of baptism for salvation. Jesus emphatically commanded belief and baptism in order to be saved and such was to be preached to every person in the world (Mk 16:15,16). So, in order to circumvent the direct commandment they seek to twist the meaning of the word “Paradise” as in reference to the “Thief on the cross”. Baptist believe they have an “Exception” to baptism. Thus, if one man didn’t have to be baptized in order to be saved, then no one has to be baptized in order to be saved. What is sad is that billions of people have swallowed this kind of doctrine and have died in their sins.

For the record, the thief on the cross was born and died under the law of Moses. Thus, on this one point alone, the thief has nothing to do with our salvation today whatsoever. How do I know this to be true? It is because the gospel of Christ was defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus had yet to die, had yet to be buried, and had yet to be resurrected from the dead. This is why every Christian convert after Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection obeyed the gospel of Christ which included belief and confession (Rom 10:8-10) and repentance and baptism (Acts 2:38).

In this so called modern generation (All generations call themselves modern) man thinks he has found a way around God’s “hard to swallow” commandments. We live in a very liberating time. Women have freed themselves from the home to make themselves equal to men in everything (Often their superior). Homosexuals have freed themselves from the closet to be equal with heterosexuals. They now can marry, raise children, and feel free to perpetuate their evil lifestyles as completely normal.

However, where this modern generation becomes problematic is with God’s unchanging Word (1 Cor 4:6). In the scripture, women were placed in the home to bear children and to be subject to their husband in everything (Tit 2:4,5 f; Eph 5:23,24). In the church, women were prohibited from speaking. If they will learn anything they can ask their husband separate and apart from the assembly. (1 Cor 14:33-40). In all places, women were prohibited from teaching men and usurping their authority. They were to learn in silence. (1 Tim 2:11-15).

Thus, they turn to scripture twisters who can make preachers, teachers, and elders out of liberated women. They twist the occasion of Aquila and Priscilla to mean that a woman taught a man, thus nullifying the commandment of Paul in his letter to Timothy (Acts 18:26 vs 1 Tim 2:11-15). Take the time to reread this verse as many times as you need, and cross reference it with the trusted versions of the bible, and you will notice that the scripture never once said Priscilla was the teacher. If she had been the teacher she would have broken the commandment which prohibited women from teaching men (1 Tim 2:11-15).

In fact, they have so many lame excuses to circumvent God’s Word that it takes a team of crooked lawyers to straighten out all of their twisted doctrines. To make it as plain as can be expressed, there is not one verse in the bible that would ever suggest that God ever intended women to be teachers or preachers of God’s Word and leaders in the church. No not one! The only two women can teach are her own children and other women to love and obey their own husband Tit 2:3-5).

When it comes to homosexuals, it is hilarious to even suggest that God has now embraced what he once called an abomination! All who commit this sin and those likened unto it (Adultery and fornication, etc) are worthy of death (Rom 1:25-32)!

God’s Word is not hid in the meaning of ancient Greek words. The bible has been translated successfully into every language long before these scripture twisters were ever born. Don’t be fooled by those who don’t take God at his Word! Remember this, God’s Word cannot lie (Heb 6:18)! God’s Word can’t say yes and then no (1 Cor 1:18)! God’s Word doesn’t contradict itself (Jn 10:35). God can’t deny his own word (2 Tim 2:13). We will be judged by God’s Word and God’s Word ONLY! (Jn 12:48 f; Rom 2:16). Now, I don’t profess that scripture twisters will ever cease as long as the world stands. However, when they stand before God, they will have a lot to answer for by misleading so many to do evil in the sight of God.
