God loves and 1 Jn 4:8 God hates. 1 Sam 2:6 God creates and God kills. Isa 45:7 God rewards and God punishes. Heb 11:5 f; Heb 10:30 Yes, God does all these things, and demands such from us. God loved us so much he gave us his only begotten. Jn 3:16 Yet, God hates evil. God created heaven and earth. Gen 1:1 Yet, God killed every human on earth with the flood, except for Noah and his family. God rewards the righteous with heaven. Tit 1:2 Yet, God will punish all who rejects the gospel of Christ with hell and damnation. 2 Thess 1:7-9
God wants us to love fellow brethren even as he loved us. Jn 15:12 Yet, God wants us to hate sinful acts. Amo 5:15 God wants us to kill our present life by being buried with Christ by baptism and to walk in the newness of life. Rom 6:3,4 God wants us to reward good for the evil done unto us, and yet admonish those who turn from the commandments of God. Mt 5:39,40 f; 2 Thess 3:14,15
God knows man. He created him from dirt. He knows there is both good and evil in him. He knows this because there is good and evil which derived from him. God created obedient angels and God created angels which were disobedient. Even so, God created both good men and evil men. All God really wants from mankind is for them to obey him. God wants us to love fellow brethren, yet he wants us to hate our parents, our spouses, our brethren, and even ourselves. Lk 14:26 God wants us to love the world enough to preach the gospel to every creature, yet he wants us to hate the evil committed upon the earth.
God knows man has needs to do the exact same evil the world commits, and God makes allowances for such things. God allows mankind to commit the exact same sexual acts of the wicked, but only in the way he commanded. Outside of marriage, those sexual acts are called fornication, harlotry, adulteries. Inside of marriage, all is called honorable and descent. Heb 13:4 God knows we all will sin each and every day. Those who reject the gospel, their sins are required of them, even if they stop doing them. Yet, the exact same sins committed by Christians can be forgiven and forgotten once they are repented of. Heb 10:17
No, God is not contradictory! God is consistent! God knows there is none good, but him. Mk 10:18 God knows all have sinned and come short of his glory. Rom 3:23 Therefore, God made things very simple for mankind. Christ died on the cross for your sins and arose again the third day. 1 Cor 15:3,4 God demands we do the exact same, yet, metaphorically. All confessed believers must repent of their sins and be buried with Christ by baptism and raised to walk a new life with Christ. Rom 10:9,10 f; Rom 6:3,4 In the most simplest of terms, the only difference between a sinner and a saint is obedience and submission to God. God wants mankind to do things one way, HIS WAY! Jn 14:6
