Only The Prayers of the Righteous are Answered

Only Prayers of the Righteous Are Answered

Jeremiah the prophet wrote: Call unto me, and I will answer you. (Jer 33:3) Many will say that sinners have their prayers answered by God. Many others will even say, one can be saved by quoting the Sinner’s Prayer. Nevertheless, what does the scripture say: (Gal 4:30) Jesus said that no one comes to the Father, but by him. (Jn 14:6) Paul stated that Jesus is the mediator between God, and mankind. (1 Tim 2:5) Solomon wrote that whosoever turns from hearing the Word of God, that their prayer is an abomination. (Prov 28:9) Again he wrote that God will not listen to wicked, but hears the righteous prayer. (Prov 15:29) Isaiah wrote that it’s our sins that causes God not to hear us. (Isa 59:1,2) The Psalmist David wrote that he called, and cried unto God, and was heard. (22 Sam 22:7)  Peter said that God hears the prayers of the righteous, but his face is against those who do evil. (1 Pet 3:12; Ps 34:15-17) The blind man healed of Jesus said, God doesn’t hear a sinner, but answers only those who worship God, and does His will. (Jn 9:31)   Paul stated that only those who have heard the gospel, and believe, and confess the gospel, from the voice of a gospel preacher, can call  upon the name of the Lord. (Rom 10:10-17) Ananias said to Saul, “arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16) The scriptures make it abundantly clear, that only those who have obeyed the gospel, the righteous, can call upon the Lord, and expect their prayers to be heard, and answered. (1 Jn 5:14)
