Unity Comes By Getting on the Same Page with God

Unity Comes By Getting On The Same Page With God

So many claim they want unity in the Faith, but it always seems to be their own faith, and not the Faith of God: (Eph 4:13; Rom 10:2) The kind of faith that speaks in the silence of God, and is constantly being rewritten to fit their own modern day lifestyle. (Rev 22:18,19; 1 Cor 4:6)  They believe that the commandments of God are optional, and that they are excluded from following the written Word. (2 Jn 9; 2 Tim 3:16,17; Col 3:25) They believe God speaks to them directly, giving them a new revelation. (1 Cor 15:8; Gal 1:8,9) They believe that the perfect law of liberty means that they are at liberty to do whatever they please, and still be pleasing to God. (Jam 1:25; 2 Cor 2:17) They claim that following God’s Word exactly, and taking each commandment literally is not rightly dividing correctly. (2 Tim 2:15; 1 Pet 4:11)

Nothing commanded or prohibited by God is optional. Unity comes by following that which was written in the scriptures, and not by following the doctrines of men. (1 Cor 1:10; Jude 3; 2 Thess 2:15) The bible isn’t an unfinished book in need of editing or rewriting, but is the everlasting, (1 Pet 1:25) tested and proved, perfect Word of God. (Ps 18:30) If we are to have perfect unity in the Faith, it must come by each of us following God’s written Word, and not silver tongue, greedy, devilish men who seek to pervert the truth for their own earthly gain. (1 Jn 4:1; Col 2:8; Rom 16:17,18) Unity at the cost of truth is man being unified with Satan, and not with God. (Lk 11:18,19; Jn 8:44) Unity comes by getting on the same page with God. (2 Cor 12:18)
