God vs Wealth – The Choice is in Your Hands

It is better to die for the Lord, than to live for the Devil. (1) It is better to die in a wilderness, than to dwell in the pleasure of sin for a season. (2) It is better to die in a lion’s den, or a fiery furnace, than to worship idols, and dwell in a  King’s palace. (3) It is better to die on a cross between two thieves, and mockers surrounding you, than to come down from the cross, and rule as King of the Jews. (4) It is far better to live for God, and have nothing, than to die in our sins for the Devil, and have the world. (5) The dead in Christ have the promise of eternal life, (6) but the wicked have the promise of eternal damnation. (7) All are given the choice between life and death, (8) right and wrong, (9) God and wealth. No one can choose two masters. (10) Today, the choice is in your hands. (11)

The Church of Christ – It’s the Only Church that Saves

Many will ponder and ask, why are there so many churches, and will some be going to heaven from each church. No where, or at any time did Christ build more than One church. Jesus stated it plainly, “And upon this rock (meaning himself) I will build My church.” (1) Paul stated it clearly that there is One body (meaning One church). (2) He also stated that their is One Faith, not many faiths. (3) Every true Christian is baptized into this One Church. (4) So the real question is, what is the name of that church. Paul called the church by name: The churches of Christ, (5) The church of God (God the Son), (6) the body (church) of Christ, (7) the church of the firstborn (Christ), (8) and the church of the living God (God the Son). (9) In all these names, the name of the church is clearly seen, the church of Christ. Plainly stated, only those who are baptized into the church of Christ, which follow the doctrine of Christ, (10) will be saved. The Church of Christ, the only church that saves.

Married to Christ

When we become a Christian, we are married to Christ. Hearing the Word of God is our courtship with Jesus. During this time we decide whether or not we are willing to be joined to our Savior. Believing in Jesus is us deciding to be married to Him, for our heart believes He is the very Christ. This is the moment our love for Christ begins. Repenting of our sins is us forsaking all others. We reject our love for this world, and turn from our sins, giving all of our allegiance to Christ. Confessing that Jesus is the Christ is us announcing to the world our faith and love for him, and we are now ready to be married to Him. Being baptized is the moment we are united with Christ. This is the moment we officially say “I Do” to Christ, and walk in the path of the Lord.  Remaining faithful till death is us not straying from our Lord, by being chaste keepers of His Word.

The rest of our life is us devoted to learning how to please our husband. We grow in the knowledge of the Lord, and learn how to defend his doctrine. We bear fruit for our Lord by teaching His Word to others, that children might be born to Him. The analogy of us being married in the flesh is in perfect correlation of Christ being married to us. We said “I Do” to become married, and we must continue Doing whether richer or poorer, for better or worse,  in sickness and in health, till death Do us part. If we become unfaithful to the Lord, we have the avenue of repentance. However, if we die in this condition, and are not reconciled with Christ, we shall be given a bill of divorcement. In that day we shall hear the words of our groom:”Depart from me, you that work of iniquity.” Strive to be a good wife unto the Lord, submitting yourself to His Word, and obeying Him in all things. In that great and faithful day, we shall shall hear the words of our Lord, “Good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you rulers over many.”

Jesus Is The Way

How do we get there, from here? How do we get from planet earth, to heaven’s open portal? If we don’t find the way to get there while we’re here, we definitely won’t find the way once our life expires. Our answer is found in the pages of God’s Word. The only way we can get to heaven is to be buried with Christ by baptism, and arise to walk in the newness of life. If we knowingly reject it, we’re lost. If we ignorantly refuse it, we’re lost. If we sincerely get it wrong, for whatever reason, we’re lost. Jesus is the way, the gospel is the plan, and heaven is the reward.

To Walk With Christ

Take away our money, and our possessions. Take away our power, prestige, and accomplishments. Take away our earthly knowledge and wisdom, and let us take a good look at what remains. Until we have obeyed the gospel of Christ, and walk in the example of the Lord, we are nothing but an empty vessel. Let us fill up our soul with the wisdom and knowledge of God, and let us become obedient to God’s every commandment. If we truly want to walk with Christ, we must put on Christ, take up our cross and follow Him.

Obedience Saves

Would Noah’s ark have floated, would the Red Sea have parted, and would the walls of Jericho have fallen down, if Noah, Moses and Joshua had not obeyed God explicitly. Of course not. And if we refuse to obey the gospel of Christ explicitly, we will be totally lost in our sins. Call those who serve God extremest, religious fanatics, or legalists if you must, but God has a better name for them__He calls them SAVED.

The Truth About God’s Truth

The truth about the truth of God, is that His truth never changes. The same gospel that saved the apostles, and early day Christians, will save us today. They heard it, believed it, confessed it, repented of their sins, and were baptized. It was good enough for them, and it is good enough for us today. Trust in the gospel of Christ, for it has been certified, proven, and abides forever, and it shall judge us in the last day.

Unity Is Found In God’s Word

As brethren, we are to walk in the unity of God’s Word, and not in the unity of man’s opinions. The only way Christians can be truly united, is to abide by the apostles doctrine, the doctrine of Christ, which is the doctrine of God. Unlike the doctrine of man, the doctrine of Christ can be proven by the scriptures, doesn’t change, and abides with us always. Let every Christian walk in the unity of the same mind, the mind of Christ, and truly walk together with God.

God Hears & Answers Only A Christian’s Prayer

If we won’t hear and adhere to God’s Word, why should He hear and answer our prayers. A Christian’s prayer is heard and answered, if it’s according to God’s will; but the prayers of the wicked are not heard, and are not answered, for their prayer is an abomination before the Lord. Don’t be mislead into believing that a sinner’s prayer will save you, because until you obey the gospel of Christ, God doesn’t even know you. If you want to pray to yourself, keep obeying the commandments of men. However, if you want your prayers heard and answered by God, get to obeying God, and doing His Will. Because after-all, if we won’t listen to God, why should He listen to us.

True Happiness “Comes In Serving God”

Everyone is seeking for happiness, but most never find it. They keep looking for it in all the wrong places. They search for it diligently in brothels, honky tonks, and night clubs, but to no avail.  Some seek for it in money, in alcohol and drugs, and in illicit relationships, but still it eludes them. True happiness is found in trusting the Lord, keeping His law, and finding the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of His Word. Happiness comes to us when God corrects us, when God is our Lord, and when we have mercy on the poor. They that suffer for the cause of Christ, who endure until the end, and delight and love His Word, they will have the desires of their heart, yes, even eternal life. True happiness comes in serving, and obeying God.
