Faith without works is dead, but then, so is baptism without works. Faith alone won’t get us into the water, and water alone won’t get us into heaven. God didn’t intend one to drown in baptism, but to walk in the newness of life. He intended for us to come up out of the water, to do the works of God. If we are going to take the time to go down into the water, let us arise to do the work of the Lord. Partial obedience, is no obedience at all.

Have you ever heard someone say, “I will believe in God the day I see Him”. Yet, God has already revealed himself through his creation, His prophets, His apostles, and even through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Today, God reveals himself through his Holy Word, and through every Christian living a godly life. If you’re truly looking for God, just open His Book.

Instrumental music is beautiful to listen to, and soothes the soul, yet God spoke nothing of its use in the New Testament Church. If we dare speak where God spoke not, then let the music play. However, if we believe God’s silence is to be reverenced, and adhered to, then let us obey His silence. If we believe to speak where the bible speaks, and to be silent where the bible is silent, then let us prove it by silencing the instruments, and allowing our voices to praise the Lord. The only instrument God commands us to use, is our VOICE in praise to Him.

One is born, they live, and they die. Death is a fact of life that we try to evade, most are afraid of, yet it plagues every human under the sun. However, God is the only one who is making a valid offer to remedy man’s dilemma. God has promised that if we obey the gospel of Christ, we will have eternal life with Him in heaven. Believe me when I say this, that there is not a better offer under the sun. It’s an offer we can’t afford to refuse!

A prize fighter can’t be a champion, until he first qualifies according to all the rules, and regulations of the governing bodies. It doesn’t matter how much he trains, or how many fights he wins, he will never be declared a world champion, until he qualifies lawfully. How much more we, no matter how many good deeds we do, we will never be declared a Christian until we obey the gospel of Christ. If we are going to take the time to fight the good fight of faith, let us fight lawfully, and qualify for our crown of life.

Christians truly belong on the Most Endangered Species list. They’re few and far between, and in some places are already extinct. If you think you have found one, be sure to know their characteristics. They are obedient to the gospel of Christ, they attend church services regularly, and they are constantly reading, studying and learning the Word of God. They are definitely not ashamed of the gospel, for they bodaciously teach it everywhere they go, and suffer for it greatly. To meet a Christian, is to meet one of life’s most precious, and rare gems.

It has been said that trains are one of the most indestructible, dependable, and safest forms of transportation known to man, all because it runs on tracks, travels in one direction, and is guided behind the hand on one conductor. When we as Christians stay on the track of God’s Word, we too are a force to be reckoned with. We carry Righteousness as our breastplate, the Word as our sword, and Faith as our shield. We speak where the bible speaks, silent where it is silent, and march on the strait and narrow path that leads to life everlasting. Christians, following the track of God’s Word!

If you were searching your family tree, wouldn’t you be looking for familiar traits? If we don’t have the traits of God, how can we be considered His family? If we don’t acknowledge Christ as His Son, if we don’t obey the gospel, and if we don’t speak the same Word, then, how can we be His? If we are truly born again, we walk by the Faith, Love, and Righteousness of God, as the children of God. If we are truly His, then let us be the reflection of Him in Faith and Deeds. Let the image of His Word be found in each of us.

If we have, but the faith of a grain of mustard seed, we can move mountains. However, even if we have all faith, so that we can move mountains, and have not the love of God, it’s worthless. To love God, is to obey His commandments. We are commanded to obey, and remain faithful to the gospel of Christ. Faith, Hope, Love, but Love is greater. Faith can move mountains, but it takes the Love of God’s Word to be saved.
